The Celestial Essence

Psychology concerns itself with the study of the discrepancy between the objective reality and our subjective perception upon it. This means that psychology can be understood to be a referral to two distinct and different domains of human philosophy. We have a real psychology which concerns itself with the Platonic realism and the supranatural and metaphysical laws for being and potential. Then we have a psychology dealing with the substantial and material. Here the field of psychology occupies itself with the psyches reaction upon the sensual stimuli in the world and how we act upon the world. Since our focus is so much on the material world it is difficult for modern man to envision the disembodied soul and it is almost by proxy we assume the corporeality as a necessity for the soul. This leads further to the importance of personal identity that is a construct molded in the world of manifestation. Our immutable and eternal essence as it descends into the world of manifestation ru...

To Bind or Not to Bind

“amen dico vobis quaecumque alligaveritis super terram erunt ligata et in caelo et quaecumque solveritis super terram erunt soluta et in caelo.” Matthew 18:18 The Good Book uses the Latin “ligare” when it speaks of bonds in Matthew 18:18. The same as we find in the word religion or re-ligare, to reunite a bond. To reunite something would indicate that the bond is something that once was in existence and re-ligare can not refer to anything else than a rekindling of what once was and not a new relationship that has ever been. When our ancestors in spirit, such as Giordano Bruno speaks of ligare in terms of manifestation across the golden chain of being he discusses the idea of vinculum. Vinculum also means bond, but in a slightly different way than ligare. A vinculum refers to the limits of a specific passage or grouping. A vinculum is a specific avenue that binds what is desired by using the theory of correspondence.  Ligare is the general bonding, while vinculum refers to the ...

Ela é a pomba sagra...

The Spirit of Absence

At times truly bizarre expressions of timeless truths manifest in a profane cacophony of infernal wayward theosophy that pretends to lead to some form of gnosis or knowledge. One such expression concerns itself with a ‘wiccan’ perspective on Lilith where she is seen as a Mother, equal to any other goddesses, which all are mothers. The generic ‘Mother’ is in need for some clarification. The metaphysical idea inherent in motherhood is clearly related to the womb. Mother will therefore in its fundamental premise which makes it possible be a reference to the possession of a womb. As such nature is the prime manifestation of the divine possibility. She is the womb of the world that makes life possible. If we accept this as a satisfactory premise for someone to be referred to as a Mother we will also be challenged by the womb fertile and barren. It is here we can approximate Lilith by her essence being defined by absence. She is the holy dove unfolding in the ebb and flow of the Moon. She...

Fragments of the Truth

Tradition proper is at times challenging to appraise truthfully for modern man. We as modern people in a modern world is often blinded by senses and matter and often materialization of eternal ideas can baffle us into appraising ‘the thing as it appears’ as ‘the thing in itself’. This is in particular evident in the modern glorification of manifestation. So great has been the spirit of manifestation that even idealist philosophers have made errors of judgment that has paved the way for a lower order appraisal of eternal truths in a reversed order of importance and reality. One example we can find in the profane appraisal of Hegel’s political philosophy. Hegel is most famous for his comment on Kant’s Critique of Pure reason where he set forth the triad of thesis and antithesis to reach synthesis, which for the idealist Hegel would be of a transcendental order. Ironically Hegel presented this argument once in his commentaries and it was actually Johann Fichte who were the one who deve...

The Constitution of Modern Man

For a dweller in the countryside the return to the pulse, nerve and mind of urban modernity is always experienced as surreal. Something is amiss in the ecstasy of somnambulism. Traditionally, man should be ruled by reason, the mind. It is by the reflective mind we align ourselves with source and can serve as a mirror for the rays of the celestial Sun. The mind, the nous, should contemplate what is higher, perfect and true. It is this that brings beauty to the world of men and tempers our soul into perfection. When we contemplate the celestial and eternal a steady sharpness manifests through our mundane existence and we will by this connection to origin and source be able to live our destiny and thus experience blessings and understand the role of all things that meet us on the road of Fate. The disgrace of modernity started in many ways with Descartes investigation of the existence of God motivated by a peculiar line of thought focusing on metaphysics being the basis of physics in a...

Contrasts in Concrete

A life lived in nature is ruled by different laws than what we find in the monuments of stone, concrete and steel of modern urban civilization. I believe the concrete makes it difficult to resonate with the natural law and consequently our dharma or destiny turns clouded and confused. Our actions or karma seems blocked and bewildered at all times. For a dweller in the countryside re-entering the city it is a meeting of a cacophonic world of noise and disturbance. The omens that help us understand speaks clearly through birds and beasts that walk the land as its extension and messengers. In the city all this is altered, the peace of pigeons has turned into gluttony and confusion and they can no longer speak as they should. Nature loses its language when it is forged into stone and order of modern civilization and its inhabitants engages in dysfunctional interaction that was imposed by modern lifeless culture. The hunt for spirit and connection hides itself in ambition so the longing...
